Kimberli hails from the not-too-small Midwestern town of Cedar Rapids, IA, where she grew up in a very theatrical and artsy family that helped shape her into the multidimensional talent she is today.
At very early age it was evident that there was more to Kimberli's talent than just a passing interest; she lived every moment to explore every aspect of the arts that she could, taking part in contests, musicals, television appearances, music & dance lessons, art classes and playing every musical instrument she could get her hands on.
Today Kimberli spends her time working as a theatre director with a group of awesome middle school kids (where she not only writes & directs the shows, but choreographs, coaches and does set/costume design), singing at venues, fairs, festivals and events throughout the Midwest -- either with guitar or a few other musicians, and performing with various live theatre groups or locally produced training videos and television commercials as the jobs present themselves.
Her vocal style is multi-faceted with influences ranging from Ethel Merman, Bette Midler, Billie Holiday and Judy Garland, to earthy singer-songwriters such as Simon & Garfunkel, Nanci Griffith, Buddy Mondlock, and Melanie, to rocker-chicks like Janis Joplin, Heart, Grace Slick and Melissa Etheridge.
Kimberli's acting style is also varied, with a deep sense of sincerity, natural timing, an ability to think quickly on her feet, unsinkable determination and a way of ensnaring the hearts of the audience whether she be performing drama, slapstick or in front of the camera. Polish all that off with an award winning smile, buckets of experience and years of diligently developing her trade, and you've got the whole package that is Kimberli!
